Our vision Empowerment through prayer. Who we are Peace Prayer Line is a telephone and online Christian prayer ministry for Akan speaking people. The Akan language is the most widely spoken of all the languages in Ghana. At PPL we affirm the Gospel and the second coming of Jesus Christ, and the Bible as the prophetic word of God. What we do You have your choice of many dedicated prayer groups around the country, but PPL is the only prayer group dedicated to providing prayer services to Akan speakers across the entire globe. Worshipers can access our prayer ministry by telephone, live-internet broadcast, live-chat, down-loadable pod-casts and even services such as the iTunes. Our history PPL began in 2009 when Pastor Paul Kwesi Abiedu and a small group of dedicated worshipers, who were scattered across America, decided to get together by cell phone and three-way calling to pray and worship together. As the group grew in size they decided they had to use more sophisticated telephone conferencing technology in order to expand the PPL. PPL was founded by Paul Kwesi Abiedu, who was born and grew up in Accra, Ghana. As a boy, he was raised in the Catholic church. As a young man he became a member of the Pentecostal Church, where he started a small fellowship, then decided to attend pastoral school. Even as a child he began to receive visions and prophetic dreams from God. Four years ago, after completing seminary school, Pastor Abiedu started a small church in Ghana called the I Am Chapel, which continues to operate in Accra, Ghana. After that he came to the United States to better himself, and a vision to project God's Word to the whole world. His aim is to speak truth to power, and in doing so expose the many false teachings and preachers who exploit God's people. His calling is the worship of God in the truth and the training of a new generation of pastors who speak the truth. |
